Top-seeded Cleveland State (29-4) can match the program record for victories in a season and book a return trip to the NCAA tournament on Tuesday when it takes on No. 2 seed Green Bay (26-6) in the championship game of the Horizon League tournament at Indiana Farmers Coliseum in Indianapolis. The Vikings won their first-ever Horizon League regular-season title this season on the heels of a 30-5 run in 2022-23 that ended in the first round of the NCAA tourney. The Phoenix haven't gone to the NCAAs since 2018. They were the top seed in the Horizon tournament last year, losing to Cleveland State in the championship game.

The Vikings routed fourth-seeded Wright State in Monday's semifinal 83-50. Mickayla Perdue finished with 18 points, Colbi Maples added 14 and Jordana Reisma went for 10 points and 10 rebounds. Perdue scores 17.2 points per game while Maples gets 16.6 points a night and Carmen Villalobos averages 6.8 boards.
Green Bay pulled away from No. 3 seed Purdue Fort Wayne for a 64-55 victory in its semifinal matchup. Callie Genke came off the bench for 16 points, Maddy Schreiber had 13 points and Bailey Butler finished with 10 assists. Natalie McNeal averages 12.8 points and 6.8 rebounds, Schreiber puts up 12.3 points per game and Butler hands out 5.4 dimes per outing.
The Phoenix are 70-11 all-time against Cleveland State, with the teams splitting home games during the regular season. Green Bay took an 85-72 decision on Dec. 30 before the Vikings hung up an 86-63 rout on Feb. 3., turning a close game into a blowout with a 28-12 fourth-quarter burst.
